P.K. Raveendran Nair, Ph.D. joined our group in 2002 from Mahatma Gandhi University in Kottayam, India where he was an Associate Professor in the Department of Chemistry. He received his doctorate (Chemistry) in 1981 at Vikram University in Ujjain India. He is an experienced organic chemist with a strong background in the chemistry of herbal compounds used in the Ayurvedic system of medicine. He has been primarily involved in the extraction process of herbal compounds we are studying and characterizing them chemically. He has recently returned to Mahatma Gandhi University as an Associate Professor and remains a consultant to Dharma Biomedical.
